Conquest of Evil 2025
More actions
Conquest of Evil 2025 is a continuation of the Conquest of Evil Series. It is set in the future from the previous stories with some ideas drawn from No.1_Sentai_Gozyuger. This is a prose fanfiction not a psuedo television series. It certain was not produced by Toei or Hasbro although they probably own the copyright.
Plot
By the year 2025 the cosmos has forgotten the events of the Shatterpoint. Even those that were trapped within the World of Nyghtmayr have recovered from their ordeal. The Power Rangers and heroes of the past have given way to a new generation of heroes. The universe has been protected.
But then the Power Rings started to appear, promising glory to the one that can gather them all and unleash their power.
Characters
Rangers
Paladin Rangers
Granted their powers through a contract of service with Paladin, the Paladin Rangers from the son of The Creator via the Morphin Grid. This makes them one of the strongest teams of Rangers ever created, on a par with the God Rangers of legend. A benefit of their powers is the ability to double morph, taking on the power of an additional link to the Morphin Grid. This technique manifests by taking on the appearance and powers of an avatar (usually red) and requires a Power Ring to unlock.
Red Tyannosaurus
Blue Wolf
Yellow Lion
Green Falcon
Pink Unicorn
White Bear
Ring Warriors
Heroes from across the cosmos and beyond, each empowered by a Power Ring, a pact with one (or sometimes more) of the entities residing within the Morphin Grid and the promise that should they succeed in gathering all the rings, they will receive the power to make their dreams/wishes come true.
Allies
Paladin - Once known as the Luminous One. Near the beginning of existence, Paladin was created by The One and fought to protect the cosmos from the twist evil of his own brother - the Dark One. In the aftermath of the final battle, the Dark One was imprisoned in a place beneath the Morphin Grid at the edge of existence, and Paladin was released from his role as the Luminous One and given his freedom. Over billions of years Paladin watched creation unfold, the rise of evil andthose that would oppose it, and chose to return to his previous role by assisting those that had taken up the fight against evil.
Paladin provided assistance to the Grid Rangers, gifting them the Uni-Blaster to unlock the true power of the Gears of Fate and unleash the Great Power. During the recreation of existence, his intervention triggered a change in historical events, the creation of the Swords of Paladin and the inspiration of the Power Rings that now threaten existence. He later sacrificed his physical form to prevent an evil greater evil returning.
Villains
The Apocalpse Empire
The Apocalypse Empire was formed during the recreation of existence, a remnant of the destruction that Minion had caused. There were some that did not wish the multiverse to return, that welcomed the coming of the void. When existence was reborn, they continued to exist, wishing above all else to return to the darkness. This wish was so strong that it summoned a being capable of granting their wish in return for their service. The deal: Hunt down and retrieve the Power Rings and receive your wish of eternal darkness.
Juno - A former servant of the Dark One, released at the beginning of Shatterpoint, but prevented from intervening. Upon the restoration of existence, Juno's prison remained broken, allowing her to pursue her new goal to reunite with her master. As a being created by the Dark One, Juno was imbued with incredible powers, strong enough to offer the same deal to her followers that Paladin made to all those that sought the ring. The difference is that Juno requires a pact of servitude in addition to an agreement to retrieve all the Power Rings.
Venator X - Juno's prized seeker of the Power Rings. Venator X is relentless in his quest to retrieve the Power Rings, having already collected more than any of Juno's other agents. He is responsible for slaughtering numerous ring bearers, claiming their lives as additional trophies.
Ardor
Cultro and Nupta
Campanoids
Bell-headed footsoldiers in the service of the Apocalypse Empire.
Ring Riders
Background
When the Power Rings were first create the forces of darkness recognised the threat they posed. Unable to prevent the forging of the rings, they instead possessed the Herbet, the Maltusian entrusted to forged the Power Rings. The darkness used Herbet to corrupt the rings, compelling those that wore a single ring to seek out all others, driving them to commit acts that they would never normally consider. When he was released, Herbet alerted his fellow Maltusians, who took steps to make certain the rings never left the safety of Maltus.
But Herbet had felt the power of the rings he had created, knew of the promise they held. And so in secret he forged a ten more rings. Nine were intended for those who offered their promise to locate and retrieve the other rings and one he retain for himself. He called that ring the Infinity Ring and imbued it with the ability to control the new ring he had handed out.
The Ring Riders are bound to their vow until they fulfil their part of the bargain and collect all the rings. This promise transcends the passage of time and the weakness of flesh. Even in death they are bound to continue their quest, their bodies perished long ago, yet their existence remains.
Abilities
The rings that the Ring Riders wear grant them a natural ability to identify those in possession of a Power Ring. They also provide the ability to travel vast distances through portals created by the rings. Although they lack the ability to take on Ranger forms, the Riders are granted their own armour that allows them to stand toe-to-toe with more powerful opponents.
Weaknesses
The Ring Riders are bound by their oath until their task is completed. That means that even in death they are required to continue their relentless search for the Power Rings. However, it has also been suggested that upon completion of their task, the Ring Riders would be released from their oath, killing them before they could claim their prize.
Rider 1 Latro
Rider 2 Prezz
Rider 3 Praedatrom
Rider 4 Equas
Riders 5,6,7,8,9 to be revealed.
Others
The Dark One
The almost forgotten evil of a long lost age. The Dark One was the creation of The One and the brother of the Luminous One (Paladin). After the first war between good and evil, the Dark One was defeated by his own father and locked away in a dimensional prison beneath the Morphin Grid and the very edge of existence - some accounts state that he was trapped beyond the boundaries of creation. The Dark One is the ever-living source of evil throughout existence, sharing a complicated chicken and egg relationship with Dark Specter. In the year 2025 the unleashing of the Power Rings and the release of his former generals mark the beginning of the Dark One's return.
Lord Drakkon - The Black Dragon Ranger
An evil variant of Tommy Oliver, Drakkon is an old enemy of the heroes of Earth. After learning of the Power Rings and the power they hold, he decides that such power cannot be allowed to fall into the hands of unelightened weakling like his other self. Drakkon has already collected a number of Power Rings form himself, using them as a means to restore his previous powers.
Arsenal
Power Rings - The Power Rings were forged by the Maltusians using knowledge gifted to them by the Morphin Masters. Each ring can draw upon a different spectrum of Grid Energy and use it to create an avatar. When united the Power Rings control a power similar to that of the Great Power, allowing the avatar to invoke their greatest wish and change reality to their will. At the time existence was reset there was one ring for every power source that ever emerged from the Morphin Grid. Over the course of the renewed history those rings have reduced in number as those sharing a part of the same spectrum have merged.
Infinity Ring - The final Power Ring creator by the Maltusian known as Herbet. The Infinity Ring possesses the ability to drain and absorb the powers of other rings and was held by Herbet until his demise.
Paladin Sword - Gauntlet sword based weapons created by Paladin and used by the Paladin Rangers and Ring Warriors as a means of transforming. The Paladin Rangers possess gold coloured Paladin Swords, which offer additional abilities that the silver Paladin Sword lack.
The Master Sword - Paladin's Sword of Light that was the object upon which the Paladin Swords were based. The Master Sword allows a being to call upon the full power of Paladin in the same way that other heroes have been able to summon the powers of gods.
The Dark Sword - Legends state that this sword was forged using the power of the Dark One himself. Dark Specter claimed it had a different origin. It is however a power magical weapon that is the equal and opposite of the Paladin Swords. Some legends also record that it used to be much larger until it was broken during the time of the Dark One's defeat to create smaller swords with similar properties. It is entirely possible that more than one Dark Sword exists.
With the discovery of the Power Rings, the Dark Sword has been revealed to hold similar transformation abilities to a Paladin Sword.
A Dark Sword was in the possession on Drakkon during Darkness Unleashed and was briefly wielded by Minion. Drakkon's version of the Dark Sword was a normal blade and not part of a gauntlet.
Alternate Earths
When existence was restored, many believed that the multiverse was gone. This is not the case with some worlds still harbouring their own heroes and Power Rings. Due to the reset and reshaping of the multiverse, the maps previously devised are no longer valid.
World of the Coinless - Lord Drakkon's Earth. Not only did this world survive after the reformation of existence, Drakkon somehow retained and extended his control over it.
